PolyUF^™ Series

The Poly-UF™ is an encapsulated backwashable ultra-filtration system. Incorporating four compact bundles of hollow fiber membranes, the Poly-UF™ is designed to filter down to 0.02 microns to produce safe, clean drinking water.   Contaminants such as bacteria and viruses, as well as other suspended particles, are trapped on the external surface of the hollow fiber membranes through an outside/in-filtration process.  They are then flushed during periodic backwash cycles, in which clean filtered water is passed back through the membranes in the opposite direction and down the drain.

The Poly-UF™ can be used in water reclamation systems for filtering harvested rain water or for treating grey water.  It can also be used as a prefilter in RO applications or as a final stage polishing filter.  It treats colloids, bacteria, cysts, viruses, turbidity, tannins and other naturally occurring organic matter.  The high surface area of the hollow fiber membranes allows the Poly-UF™ to operate at normal line pressure at flow rates up to 12 GPM (45 LPM).
